Job Qualification Requirements:
Has knowledge and experience in general cleaning and sanitation practices to keep buildings, offices, commercial establishments, and public facilities clean, hygienic, and organized. Understands proper cleaning procedures and sanitation standards to help prevent the spread of germs and maintain a safe environment.
Skilled in performing routine cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, scrubbing, polishing, and disinfecting floors, walls, windows, furniture, restrooms, and other facility areas. Able to perform regular and deep-cleaning tasks while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and appearance.
Knowledgeable in the safe and proper use of cleaning chemicals, disinfectants, detergents, and sanitizing solutions. Able to read and follow product labels, dilution instructions, and Safety Data Sheets (SDS) to ensure chemicals are handled, mixed, stored, and disposed of safely and in accordance with workplace safety regulations.
Experienced in operating and maintaining cleaning equipment such as vacuum cleaners, floor scrubbers, buffers, polishers, carpet shampoo machines, pressure washers, and other custodial tools. Ensures equipment is used correctly, cleaned after use, and reported for maintenance when necessary.

Maintain buildings, offices, and other facilities in a clean, sanitary, safe, and orderly condition by performing a wide range of custodial and cleaning duties. Carry out routine and heavy-duty cleaning tasks to ensure all interior and exterior areas are well-maintained and presentable.
Responsibilities include sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, scrubbing, polishing, and disinfecting floors; shampooing carpets and rugs; washing walls, windows, mirrors, and other glass surfaces; dusting furniture, fixtures, and equipment; and collecting, segregating, and disposing of trash and recyclable materials in accordance with company procedures.
Perform periodic deep-cleaning activities using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemicals, including floor waxing, buffing, stripping, pressure washing, and sanitizing high-touch surfaces and common areas. Maintain restrooms by cleaning and disinfecting toilets, sinks, and fixtures, and replenishing soap, tissue, and other hygiene supplies.
Support basic building maintenance by conducting routine inspections, identifying damaged or malfunctioning equipment, and promptly notifying supervisors or management of repair and maintenance needs. May assist with routine maintenance activities such as replacing light bulbs, cleaning ventilation areas, monitoring heating systems including furnaces and boilers where applicable, and ensuring maintenance tools and supplies are properly stored.
Maintain the cleanliness and safety of outdoor areas by removing snow, leaves, dirt, and other debris from sidewalks, entrances, parking areas, and surrounding grounds to provide a safe environment for employees, customers, and visitors. Follow established health, safety, and sanitation regulations, properly use personal protective equipment (PPE), and ensure cleaning equipment and materials are handled and stored safely.
